Euxton Girls FC, Whalley Abbey and Accrington Stanley FC (Who are they, Exactly!)
We took our flag to meet Euxton Girls FC (an inclusive girls football club with teams from u9's through to Open Age). While visiting Lancashire, we went and saw Whalley Abbey, which was a former Cistercian abbey, before being largely demolished after the dissolution of the monasteries in 1537. It's now a country house used for retreats and conferences. A trip to Lancashire wouldn't be complete without visiting Accrington Stanley (Who are they? Exactly!) Well, actually they were founder members of the Football League in 1888, although they've changed overtime and collapsed, they've reformed and are a team firmly in league one.
